Invite-only beta

The fine print

Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Pilot Notice

Everything you agreed to when you made an account, on one page and in plain words.

Version 2026-09-18. This is the version in force. Amiklee is operated by Orbitline Corporation, San Francisco, California. Questions about anything here: support@amiklee.com.

1 · Terms of Use

Who can use Amiklee

You must be 18 or older to hold an Amiklee account. During the beta you also need an invitation. If you are under 18, you cannot have an account, and we will close one if we find it.

An adult member may bring a minor as a guest to a plan whose organizer allows it. That member is responsible for the minor for the whole of that plan. Amiklee is not.

What Amiklee is

Amiklee helps people find and join shared plans. Members called organizers publish a listing. Other members join it. When money is involved, Cost Split works out who owes what.

Amiklee does not take your money and does not hold it. During the beta no payment goes through Amiklee at all. Cost Split is a calculator and a record. It tells you what you owe and who you owe it to. Settling up happens between you and the other person, in whatever way you two arrange, outside the app.

An introduction, not an endorsement

We do not vet organizers, members, venues or activities. We do not run background checks. We do not inspect the places you go or the things you do when you get there. A listing appearing on Amiklee is not a statement by us that it is safe, legal, suitable, accurately described or worth your money.

Meeting people you met online carries risk. Deciding whether a plan is right for you, and looking after yourself while you are there, is yours to do.

Your account

What you agree not to do

We can suspend or close an account that does any of this, without notice, and we can do it to protect other members before we have all the facts.

If you organize

Publishing a listing is a promise to the people who join it. Describe the plan accurately. Say what it costs and who pays for what. Say what happens if it is called off. Hold to what you published, or tell everyone promptly that it has changed. Anything you need a licence, permit or insurance for is yours to hold, not ours.

What you post

You keep ownership of your photos, listings, messages and everything else you put into Amiklee. You give us permission to store it, show it to the members it is meant for, and make the ordinary technical copies that running a service requires. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already made by other members and for records we must keep.

Ami and Leelee

Ami is Amiklee's concierge and Leelee is its support helper. Both are software, not people. What you type to them is sent to our AI provider to produce a reply. They can be wrong. Do not treat what they say as legal, medical, financial or safety advice, and do not type anything into them you would not want stored.

Where we stand if something goes wrong

Amiklee is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available, accurate, uninterrupted or free of faults, and during the beta it will be none of those things some of the time.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Orbitline Corporation is not liable for what happens between members, for what happens at a plan, for money owed between members and not paid, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending it

You can close your account at any time in Settings. We can end your access if you break these terms or if we stop running the service. These terms stop applying when your account closes, apart from the parts that by their nature carry on, such as the section above.

Law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and disputes belong to the state and federal courts in San Francisco.

When we change anything on this page we change the version date at the top. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.

2 · Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect what the app needs to work, we do not sell it, and we do not run advertising.

What we hold about you

Because you gave it to us
First name, email address, password, handle, and optionally a photo and up to three interests. Anything else you later add in Settings, such as a phone number or social links.
Because you used Amiklee
The listings you publish or join, the questions you ask organizers, your Cost Split entries and who they involve, your messages to Ami and Leelee, and any support or feedback ticket you open.
Because your device connected to ours
Technical records such as the time of a request and a general sense of where in the world it came from. We ask our analytics provider not to keep your IP address, but it still derives an approximate city and postal area from it before discarding it.

We do not ask for your date of birth, and we do not collect payment card details, because no payment goes through Amiklee during the beta.

What we do with it

We use it to run the service, to show the right things to the right people, to answer your support tickets, to keep accounts secure, and to understand in aggregate which parts of the app people use so we can improve them. That is all. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to train anyone's AI models.

Each of them handles data on our instructions and for no purpose of their own. They are based in, or store data in, the United States.

Analytics, specifically

Our analytics identify you by an internal account number, never by your handle, name or email. Web addresses and free text are stripped before an event leaves your browser, so a private link you opened does not travel with it. We do not record your screen, we do not capture your clicks automatically, and we do not use advertising trackers or third-party cookies.

How long we keep it

Your account data stays until you delete your account. Listings, participations and split records stay while the account exists, because other members' records depend on them. Analytics events are kept in aggregate and are not traceable back to you once an account is deleted. Support and feedback tickets are kept for up to 24 months.

Your choices

If you are in California, the CCPA gives you rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of sale. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, and we will never charge you or treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

Security, and its limits

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, passwords are never stored in a form we can read, and access to the production database is limited to the people who run it. No system is perfect. If a breach affects you we will tell you promptly and say what we know.

Children

Amiklee is not for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect anything from a child. If you believe a minor has an account, email support@amiklee.com and we will remove it.

3 · Pilot Notice

You are one of a small invited group using Amiklee before it is finished. This section is the honest account of what that means.

This is unfinished software. Things will break. Screens will look wrong. A plan may fail to save, a notification may not arrive, and a number may be off. None of it is your fault and none of it means you did something wrong.

What to expect

What we ask of you

Use real plans with real people, because that is the only way we learn anything. Tell us when something is wrong rather than working around it. Treat the other testers the way you would want to be treated, since there are few enough of you that everyone notices.

What this is not

The beta is free, and being in it is not a promise of future access, future pricing, or that Amiklee will launch at all. We can end the beta or change who is in it at any time. If we do, we will give you a way to take your data with you.
